Diana Henry: artist/photographer and creative producer.
After studying fine art textiles at Goldsmiths, London, Diana made props for TV commercials and worked in independent television production before going on to produce numerous live theatrical events, immersive digital installations, and award winning content for major international shows. This extensive professional knowledge and experience informs and enhances her creative practice.
Working primarily in site specific environments, often in collaboration with digital/sound/performance artists, she considers elements that can affect a space - movement, diurnal patterns of light, rhythms of a day - and explores how people respond to these. Initially using light and projection to create artistic interventions in a range of environments, the core notion of an MA in Theatre: Visual Language of Performance in 2006, in recent years photography and storytelling have emerged as her main media and focus.
From capturing wildlife and the natural world to the activities of traders at her local market, curiosity and a fascination for the stories that lie behind the places and people are at the heart of her work. As is a passion for sharing her knowledge through mentoring the next generation of artists and production specialists.
