Changing Spaces
Changing Spaces is an on-going, site-specific installation project that explores the nature of public, corporate and private spaces. It takes the form of observation and documentation of the activity within a space - the pathways, routines and responses of the people that inhabit it, the patterns of natural light, the ambient sounds - and uses these elements to create interventions that may affect - and perhaps change - people’s awareness and perception of their environment.
Changing Spaces I, developed in collaboration with sound artist Alan Stones, formed part of the final research project for my MA course and took place over the summer of 2006 at CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) headquarters in Wimbledon.
